During our discovery consultation, we’ll work with you to complete either a Renovation or New Construction Questionnaire. This process helps us gather three essential details: the general scope of work, your project’s timeframe, and a targeted investment range.

By capturing these key elements upfront, we ensure that our first in-person meeting has a solid foundation, aligned with your goals and expectations.

After we fully understand the scope of the project and necessary design, we will provide a design contract that reviews all the information gathered from the questionnaire and discovery meeting, the timeline for design, and the agreed-upon targeted investment range. The design contract will also include details on the deliverables.

We emphasize clear communication, ensuring that you are fully informed at every stage, with no surprises.

We’ll reach out to schedule a meeting at either our office or the project site, bringing together Wayde McCutcheon (Owner) and any relevant designers (architectural, structural, and interior design) to review your questionnaire and explore your project in detail.

During this deep discovery meeting, we’ll confirm our alignment on scope, timeframe, and investment, diving into all architectural and design intricacies. Your input is vital, and we’ll collaborate closely to ensure your vision is fully understood and integrated into every stage of the design process.

As we work through all elements of design, we will schedule between 3-6 meetings to review progress. During these meetings, we will refine the project to perfection, focusing on aesthetics and function while continually seeking your feedback to hone the design.

After completing the design phase and establishing a clear action plan for your project, we will present a construction contract. This contract will include all elements from the design phase, descriptions of the work to be performed, project timelines, and costs.

Original Builders operates with a fixed-cost model—unless changes are made, this is the price of the project. We prioritize budget transparency, ensuring you have full confidence in the financial aspects of your investment.

The pre-construction meeting will take place at the job site and include the owners, Wayde, and an Original Builders project manager. This meeting is intended to answer any lingering questions, familiarize you with expectations heading into the project, and onboard you to any job related information.

You made it! The hard part is done. It’s now our turn to bring all of our efforts in the design phase to life. Over the course of construction, we will schedule job site meetings, review scheduling, and provide any information that can produce clarity and confidence throughout the project.

Once all elements of the project are completed, we will perform a walkthrough and provide you with any important information as the homeowner. This includes maintenance info, manuals, and a warranty form for Original Builders.

Your peace of mind is our priority, and we’re here to ensure your home continues to meet your expectations long after the final walk-through.
